COVID-19: Advice for International Students in UK :
This is an evolving situation for the Universities and International Students and it is very essential to be well informed about its impact on us.
The students should seek appropriate guidance, stay calm , be safe and think about the safety of others.
Possible absences to the University:✅
Most of the lectures are already online or webinar based. Even if you have missed any classes while following the advice from Public Health of England, your absence will be considered as authorised.
Travelling During Easter Holiday Break:✅
Please follow travel advice on Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice regarding travel. Please check locations where there is a travel risk.

The Department for Education (DfE) has launched a helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education.

UKVI Immigration Helpline:✅
A Home Office coronavirus immigration helpline and email address is available for immigration enquiries related only to Coronavirus:

Health, safety and well being is the top priority in this situation. So is the use of proper channels to stay updated about the current circumstances so that you feel safe and sound away from Home.
Additional Support System for Need Based Students:
University Relief Grants:
Most Univeristies have Financial relief grants ranging from £100-£3000 to be disbursed among the students in the crisis situaiton. You can look at the requirments and can apply . The amount of grant will depend on the discretion of the University.
Embassy of Nepal , London ( For Nepalese Students)
Nepalese students in UK should use Embassy of Nepal as the point of contact in case of financial distress due to the COVID 19 crisis. The Embassy will distribute help for the those in need of food, accomodation or any other support through Mergining NepSocs as the main contact point.
You are also advised to follow the guidelines of UK Government to stay at Home and all the instructions given during this lockdown.
